Salem Puppet Parade

On September 23rd 2017, Artisans, Puppeteers and Volunteers gathered for the first ever Salem Puppet Parade at the Open Streets Salem event. It was a fabulous day to parade down the closed streets of Salem!

I helped lead the charge, gathered like-minded makers and planners, made a website, branding and coordinated the event. I also created large puppets. Lady Liberty I created from paper mache. The Bag Dragon was made from recycled materials(thanks Salem Sleeping Bag Project for those bags!) The Brown Bear was a simple cardboard mask and I also created the Puppet Parade Mascot.
