DIY Phone Home

We have this area in our home where the phone is housed and where everything else collects. I love this little alcove, however it didn’t seem like it was living up to it’s full potential.

Enter Richard Scarry.

You know, the books? If you like sensory overload, you will love these books. I happened to find a Richard Scarry book that was tattered and falling apart. Apparently someone else loved the book too. So I was ready to put the colorful images to good use.

I pulled out my lifetime supply of mod podge and got to work wallpapering the alcove.

After letting it dry, I added my phone.

And here’s what it looks like farther away.
