Come create “Art in the Dark” to help keep the lights on at DIY Studio!

DIY Studio is Salem’s creative reuse center that aims to promote creativity, community, environmental awareness, and self-sufficiency through reuse. As an all-volunteer, grassroots, nonprofit, we are dependent on the support of the community. As an arts organization, we aim to promote our mission through all our activities so felt it was only fitting that to help raise money for utilities, we create in the dark.

So join DIY Studio to create “Art in the Dark.” Participants will be escorted into the studio via flashlight. Once inside, we will create jellyfish paintings, which glow in the dark. In keeping with the mission of DIY studio we will paint on reclaimed wood.

All funds raised by “Art in the Dark” will be used to sustain DIY Studio’s general operating costs, which include utilities and rent as well as other incidental costs.
